For the first time ever, a Canadian fashion brand is bringing beachwear into the real world.
On Wednesday, New York-based brand New England Seawater was officially unveiled, unveiling its latest collection.
It features a number of stylish beachwear pieces, including a short-sleeved sweater with an oversized collar and a cropped denim skirt.
The sweater has a vintage-inspired collar, and is a collaboration between designer and designer collaborator Sarah O’Connor.
For O’Connors, the sweater was a way to explore her own interests in beachwear.
“It was like a little bit of a vacation to me, to wear this sweater,” she said.
A number of the pieces in the collection have already been worn by celebrities and athletes including the U.S. women’s soccer team, and were designed to complement the sportswear.
New England Seewater has an extensive line of beachwear, but O’Neill said the goal was to create pieces that could be worn by anyone.
There are a lot of different things that go into creating something like this, she said, adding that she’s excited to have a chance to make something for the masses.
“It’s an opportunity to show the world that we are here, that we care about the environment, that there’s an option for everyone,” O’Connor said.
The sweater is a combination of vintage fabrics and a retro-inspired style.
In the photos, O’Connell is seen wearing the sweater in a casual fit, with the sweater underneath a denim skirt and jeans.
She also wore the sweater with a denim jacket and jeans, which is a nod to her love of the sport.
O’Connor said that her work as a designer has inspired her to take her beachwear design to the next level.
“I wanted to take it to the extreme and create a sweater that was not only warm and comfortable, but also functional,” she told CBC News.
The first few pieces in New England’s beachwear collection were worn by actors like Matt Damon and Kate Winslet.
But O’Brien says her favourite pieces are the ones that are designed to make the wearer feel like a member of the community.
“We wanted to do something that was so inclusive,” she added.
As part of the collaboration, New England has also created a range of beach shoes for beachgoers to wear.
These are also available at New England stores.
The collection was created to showcase the brand’s efforts to connect with the public through design, and O’Reilly said she was also inspired by New England athletes like her.
“Our sport is about creating a culture where everyone is welcomed, that’s what we are at New English,” OReilly said.
“And I think it’s about the idea of inclusion.”
New England’s first-ever beachwear show will take place at the New England Aquarium in New York on Thursday, Aug. 16, at 9 a.m.
The show will feature all kinds of beach gear, from beach towels to beach boots.
