Mr Trump, who has been vocal in his criticism of the Irish ruling party’s austerity measures, recently criticised the country’s economy and the political class as he arrived in Ireland for a visit.
The US President has previously accused the Irish government of “taking advantage” of the country to impose its own austerity measures.
Earlier this month, Mr Trump visited the country for a week in the hope of meeting with President Higgins, who is due to visit Ireland later this month.
